Dubbed – “Magic in the Sky”
GT&T Bikers Fest 2011, dubbed “Magic in the Sky” will excite and mesmerize the minds of fans in a positive way when the show featuring some of the best Free Style Motor Cross athletes in the world, comes off on Sunday August 14 at the National Park.
According to the organisers at a press briefing held at the GT&T Canteen on Thursday, the show is billed at being the “biggest family oriented event” and will showcase a number of dirt and street bikes made for extreme stunts performing mind boggling flips, twists, tricks and spills that will thrill.
This is the 6th year the event Bikers Fest is being held in Guyana and will feature three (3) teams namely:1.
Ruthless Tactics Stunt team of New Jersey – this team specializes in ‘Drifting’ which is a new style in the stunt world.
2. The FMX East Stunt team Riders of Atlanta, namely Clint Esposito, Dan Weeks, Robert Dotson and Tim Dyson.
They are called the ramp riders and also known as the Gravity Deifiers.
3. Geared Up – Joseau and Jacob coming from the sunshine state of Florida and they are the masters of the street bikes which are called CBR’s.
Specially made ramps are being designed and made to facilitate the spine chilling airborne stunts that will be performed. The steel ramps are being manufactured by INFAB.
Forming a major part of Bikers Fest 2011 will be the local acts including the BMX Boys and Stunt men from Sonic Hunters Motorcycle Club.
There will also be a burn out competition while Bluie Maxx aka ‘Chow Pow’ will be hosting the show. Fans will also be afforded the opportunity to take photos with the bikes and riders at the conclusion of the show GT&T CEO Yog Mahadeo in feature remarks informed the media that GT&T has it covered for Guyanese this summer.
“We have you covered; we have a packed list of events for your entertainment and pleasure this August and September. Join us be with us, share with us what will be a summer you’ll always remember.” GT&T also signed a contract with the organisers of the event. Gates will be opened at 15:00hrs on August 14 with show time set for two hours later.
Other sponsors on board for the 6th Bikers Fest are Ansa Mc al Trading Ltd. Under its Smalta and Carib brands and Demerara Distillers Limited under its Pepsi brand.
