The Georgetown Cricket Association (GCA) selectors have named a squad to participate in a trial match today at the DCC ground in Queenstown as their preparations continue for the Master’s Cup t20 cricket tournament which is a part of this year’s Jam Zone Summer Break activities.
Today’s trial match involves 22 players including former West Indies Skipper Ramnaresh Sarwan and West Indies t20 All-Rounder Chris Barnwell, who will captain the sides today in the game which is scheduled to commence at 11:00hrs. All invited players are asked to be at the ground by 10:00hrs.
The Georgetown unit also includes overseas International Krishmar Santoke, Sulieman Benn, Keiron Pollard and Navin Stewart who are expected to join the team on August 11. Two matches (17:00hrs & 21:00hrs) on August 12 at the Guyana National Stadium Providence will bowl off the 11th annual Jam Zone Summer Break, while two more games on August 14 at the same venue under lights, including the final, will be contested.
The GT Pitbulls squad, including their four overseas players will be named after today trial match.
