Roger Simon and Ashman Scott, who were allegedly involved in the robbery underarms crime committed in the North West District, were yesterday remanded to prison.
They were charged indictably and were not required to plead.
The duo made their appearance before Magistrate Hazel Octive-Hamilton at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court.
On July 18, last, at Five Star Backdam in the North West District together they allegedly robbed Sergio Dos Santos of eight ounces raw gold and one Samsung digital camera and Celson DaSilva of one Taurus pistol and seven live matching round.
Simon was also alleged to have discharged a loaded firearm at Felix Dos Santos with intent to main disfigure, disable or cause grievous bodily harm. He was also charged with attempted murder by discharging a loaded firearm at the said Felix Dos Santos.
The Prosecution objected to bail on the grounds of the seriousness and prevalence of the offence.
Their matter was transferred to the Matthews Ridge Magistrate’s Court for August 22.
