Dear Mr. Editor,
It’s noticeable to the public that the workers of the Ministry of Works are carrying out pavement work at Plaisance Market Square.
I am wondering if the Ministry will remove the two rum shops which are located on the southern half of the Railway Embankment road from the government reserve.
The two bars have taken up the space that will be beneficial to the vendors and the general public.
These bars encourage commuters to put up with heavy traffic jams, miserable behavior of drunken men, school children loitering and as such this pose serious threat to our environment.
Since the campaign to removed squatters on the government reserve was launched, the Ministry has moved many except for some.
It seem as though the Minister favours some in executing his duties. I hope this double standard will be discontinued.
The recent prescriptive right law is in his favour and will definitely aid him in this situation.
It is time that this lawlessness is stopped. It’s time to act Minister Benn.
