Giftland Office Max recently added their name to the list of sponsors of the Guyana Motor Racing & Sports Club July 31, Race Meet when Marketing Manager Compton Babb handed over a cheque for an undisclosed sum to Club Manager Rayon Samaroo during a simple ceremony, at the entity’s Head Office.
According to Samaroo, the support represents sponsorship of the Group 4 category which is anticipated to be one of the highlights of the day’s activities.
Some 23 races are listed for the day including those in the go-karts, 125cc and Superbikes categories and those for the cars starting from the rookies, group 2A, 2B, 3 and 4 divisions.
The organisers are promising a day of keen rivalry and action in the first race is set to commence at 09:00 hrs, but that will be preceded by the Lap of Honour which commences at 08:30 hrs.
