The Guyana Fire Service is yet to come up with the findings following investigation into the cause of the fire that destroyed a business place and a house at Lot 18 D’Urban Street, Wortmanville.
Yesterday Fire Chief Marlon Gentle said that the investigations in that incident are still ongoing.
Initial reports indicated that the fire on July 11, last, was electrical in origin. It left four persons homeless and millions of dollars in losses.
The lower flat housed a liquor restaurant and beer garden, while the top flat, where the fire reportedly started, was occupied by Jerry Chow, his wife and two children.
They were not at home at the time.
Shortly after the incident Jerry Chow and another man who claimed to be the landlord were arrested to assist with investigation but were subsequently released.
Further, Kaieteur News was also told that the two men may have had a property dispute.
