Powerboat racers set to sizzle at Summer Regatta on Sunday
Over $2 million in cash & prizes up for grabs
Guyana’s leading Powerboat racers are eagerly awaiting another opportunity to exhibit their skills and that chance will be afforded them this Sunday at Golden Beach when the Guyana Regatta Racers Club in association with the Ministry of Tourism brings off their annual Summer Regatta.
The one day spectacle will see the likes of the Randy Belle, Clarence Belle, Dave Scott, Stephen Belle, Neil Gonsalves from the Pomeroon, Dave Young, Peter Belle, Monty Belle and Mark Fagundes among others battling in what is anticipated to be a thrilling day of powerboat races.
According to the organisers, fans cannot afford to miss this event which will also feature a number of recently acquired original racing boats and engines.
Apart from the boat races which will see competition in the 25HP – 40HP, 75Hp – 90HP, 115HP – 200HP and 225Hp to unlimited categories, Jet Ski racers will also have the opportunity to show off their skills.
According to the Organisers, over 2 Million dollars in cash and other incentives will be up for the taking.
All the action on Sunday will be preceded by a big street jam at Modern Square on Saturday night organised by D&C Promotions where all the competitors are expected to be present along with Ministry of Tourism officials to interact with the fans.
