Is only a matter of time before lawlessness tek over. People know that if dem do something dem can always pay a small piece and people gun tun dem face. Some know that all dem got to call a big one who suppose to know de law but who use he power fuh be corrupt.
That same thing mek a minibus driver think that he can do anything that he want. He got a new bus wid old tyre and nuff speed. He crash. Four people dead and it look like if more gun dead and all because a driver play almighty.
Dem boys seh that this can happen because people does only talk. Nobody don’t attack dem careless driver and cripple dem suh that dem can’t do it again.
And people deh crying. Dem boys get sick when dem see people flying out de minibus and some tun dem face and cry.
One lady carry she daughter fuh buy ice cream pun de child birthday. De child and she mother dead. Some people deh home mourning.
Dem boys want fuh know what don’t happen in Guyana. A man thief and he get transfer; another one beat a policeman and nutten ain’t happen; a man complain bout a corrupt Government man and get transfer; and a woman who wukking fuh a pittance buy a house fuh $60 million and she husband seh that he didn’t know.
Prisoners walk out of de jail and nobody ain’t stop dem because dem was sleeping.
A company ain’t pay tax and can still bid fuh contract; a man who never even build a passageway get a contract fuh build a hydro road. Only in Guyana.
Dem boys can only sit down and shake dem head and sigh.
Talk half. Lef half.
