Coretta Benjamin, 40, the headmistress of J.E. Burnham Primary School, died in horrific bus crash this evening on Homestretch Avenue. She was heading home.
Four children, Renisha Benjamin and Prazel Paul, both eight years old, as well as a nine-year-old and a ten-year-old are all critical in the Georgetown Public Hospital.
According to reports, the bus was speeding along the road when it sustained a rear wheel blow out and rolled over four times before coming to rest.
It had pinned a man to the road surface and people rushed to right it. The driver appeared with very minor injuries.
The bus was heading to South Sophia.
