The recent arrest of some suspected bandits has placed a damper on another group that had planned a similar campaign. The issue at hand is that the increased police patrols are actually serving a purpose. The police feel good and the society feel that the police are at last getting on top of crime.
However, there is the danger of complacency. People are going to keep large sums of cash in their possession once more. In one case, the attackers are going to shoot first to incite even more panic in the household.
It is this act that is going to infuriate the wider society and people are going to report every move of the escaped bandits. Supported by cameras now installed, the police are going to make another early arrest.

A domestic violence issue would see the disappearance of a young boy. Indeed the boy is problematic and in need of the kind of psychiatric help that the society does not offer and something that people do not pay attention to.
There is going to be a massive campaign by the already overwhelmed social services but in this case, someone is going to prove that the national system actually works.

Another fire is going to erupt in a residential community. Arson would be suspected, and it is during the investigation that the authorities would learn of attempts to bribe certain other investigators.
The resulting publicity would result in shocking disclosures.
