– Bahadur brothers take first two stages
The Demerara Distillers Limited (DDL) under its Lemon Vodka Brand is presently staging a Pools Competition across Region six East Berbice. The competition is open to all players across the Region. But, the players must reside in the respective areas where the competition will be played.
The competition which got started on July 8 will see players taking to the tables at 15 different locations across East Berbice. With the finals set for Outar premises in Rose Hall. Incentives totaling over $175,000 are up for grabs.
The winner will collect $70,000 plus a trophy, second place $ 35,000 and third $15,000.
So far two stages have been completed with Jeffery Bahadur winning the competition that was held on July 9 at the Ashanti Bar in Canje for Players of East Canje with Sue Hang being the runner up.
In the competition held for New Amsterdam players on July 10 and played at the Buccaneer Bar in New Amsterdam, elder brother Lawrence Bahadur made sure that the family continued their winning ways with victory. Coming in second was Michael Baksh.
