The Guyana Rugby Football Union (GRFU) will conclude its Fifteens Rugby Competition for the year with the final game of the Sultan Cup Round between Hornets and the Yamaha Caribs at the National Park today from 4:00 p.m.
The Hornets defeated the Guyana Defence Force in the first game of the Cup, 41-5, but the Defence Force recovered to put on a strong display against the Yamaha Caribs in the second game of the tournament, defeating the Caribs, 22-20.
A Hornets victory over the Caribs will secure the Cup for Hornets. Should Caribs defeat Hornets, then the Cup will be decided on a point for and against basis between the three contesting clubs.
A Cup and replicas presentation ceremony will follow the game at 5:45 p.m.
The GRFU will open the Sevens Season next Saturday July 23 with the Banks DIH Sevens to be followed by a Sevens League competition featuring both Men’s and Women’s teams.
A National Men’s Squad will be selected following the Sevens League competition.

A Women’s National squad will be selected for the NACRA Women’s Sevens Championships.
