Despite being cash-strapped among the many other challenges, the City Constabulary will be giving praise and thanks to the Almighty tomorrow at its church service.
The event would be held at the Guyana Local Government Union Hall to mark the commencement of the law enforcement arm of the City Council 174th anniversary’s week long celebration.
According to Andrew Foo, Chief Constable, monies to fund the activities are taken from the Constabulary’s contingency fund.
He explained that whenever ranks are charged the money goes into that fund which supports the annual anniversary celebration.
Activities would be held from July 17 to July 22 and include dominoes and whist competition, cricket and football matches, feeding of children at a Convalescent Home, and Bar-b-Que and Lime.
