Star Party Rentals of Craig Street Campbellville has thrown its support behind the Guyana Amateur Boxing Association, covering the travel expenses of one of the boxers attending the ALBA Games in Venezuela from July 17-30.
The business, owned by national cricketer Lennox Cush, has been aiding sports for the duration of its existence. Yesterday, Manager Trenton Griffith handed over the sponsorship to GABA Technical Director, popular boxing Coach Terrence Poole.
The boxers are due to leave for the neighbouring country on Friday.
CEO Lennox Cush said he is always willing to assist sports and in this case boxing when and where it’s needed.
The talented allrounder, who has also represented the United States in cricket, noted that boxing has done much for Guyana and its only fitting to a help the sport in tribute of its contributions along with the need to support young gifted boxers.
GABA President Steve Ninvalle, who was present, expressed thanks to Cush and Star Party Rentals for their timely gesture, noting that it will go a far way. Gratitude was also expressed by Poole.
