Rayon Griffith is chairman of senior selection panel

The newly elected officers of the Guyana Cricket Board met on Monday, a day after its Annual General Meeting, for their first Executive Meeting and named the following statutory sub committees to serve for the 2011/2013 term of office.
Thirty-two year former National pacer Rayon Griffith who captured 56 wickets from 22 First Class matches between 1999 & 2007, has been named chairman man of the senior selection committee to replace the long serving Claude Raphael.
The other two senior selectors are for National Coach Ravindra Seeram and ex-Berbice left-handed batsman Adrian Amsterdam, while Nazimul Drepaul heads the junior selection panel which includes former West Indies under-19 Skipper Andre Percival and Atto Christian.
Former West Indies Test players Reon King and Travis Dowlin are included in the Cricket Development Committee which is headed by New GCB Vice-President Alfred Mentore the former National under-19 batsman.
The full Cricket Development Committee read: Alfred Mentore (Chairman), Dru Bahadur (Secretary), Travis Dowlin, Sean Devers, Reon King (GCB Cricket Development Officer), Robin Singh (GCB Video Analyst), Talim Karimulla, Muthuswammi Permual, a representative from the Blind Cricket Association, Chairmen of the CDC’S of the County Boards and a representative from the Guyana Cricket umpires’ Council.
Marketing and Fund Raising Committee: Troy Mendonca (Chairman), Ramsay Alli, Dru Bahadur, Rajendra Singh, Naim Chan, Paul Bonar and the Marketing Manager of the County Boards
Competitions Committee: Colin Europe (Chairman), Dru Bahadur (Secretary), Maylene Ramdular, two representatives of the county Boards’ Competitions Committee and a representative of the Guyana Cricket Umpires’ Council.
Disciplinary Committee: K. A. Juman-Yassin (Chairman), Terry Holder, Steven Lewis
Reports Committee: Fizul Bacchus, Anand Sanasie and Terry Holder
GCB representatives to the WICB Inc: Mr. Ramsay Alli, Anand Sanasie, Fizul Bacchus (Alternate), Alfred Mentore (Alternate)
Umpires Committee: Ramsay Alli (Chairman), Colin Europe and a representative of the Guyana Cricket Umpires’ Council.
Finance Committee: Anand Kalladeen (Chairman), Ramsay Alli, Anand Sanasie, Savitri Persaud and Troy Mendonca
The GCB Executives also named Vice President, Fizul Bacchus and Assistant Secretary Dru Bahadur along with Attorney at Law Andrew Pollard to constitute a committee which will immediately look into the Demerara Cricket Board’s matter. Their “terms of reference” includes interviewing of all stakeholders and a review of all documentation available. This committee will report to the Executive committee on or before the next meeting on August 19, 2011.
