New four-lane road to be constructed from Better Hope to Montrose

Major works will soon commence on the East Coast of Demerara as bids have been accepted for the upgrade of the four-lane road from Better Hope (Lot 1) to Montrose to La Bonne Intention (lot 2).

Already the four-lane road exists from Vlissengen Road to Better Hope. Some five (5) local companies yesterday submitted their bids for the project, with the engineer’s estimate for the project totaling some $620,520,167 for Lot 1 and $851,140,622 for Lot 2.
