Amidst a cold morning, Varsha Panday, daughter of Bish Panday, Managing Director of P&P Insurance Brokers expressed her joy to partner with the Guyana Tennis Association to host the 2011 version of the annual tennis camp for children.
At the Opening Ceremony, she recounted that P&P has been involved with the GLTA since 2004 and the company is pleased with the progress made through the programme and the exposure it has given to aspiring tennis players.

She also reiterated her company’s policy to support sports activities which are complimentary to the development of young individuals and help in the cultivation of a healthy lifestyle. P&P sponsorship cheque was received by GLTA President Christopher Ram.
P&P Insurance Brokers has a sound record of assisting many sporting disciplines as this tennis camp comes right on the heels of the Annual Day of Cycle Races at the National Park which the company also sponsored. Ms Panday took the opportunity to publicly recommit the company to the nurturing of young talent to inculcate discipline.
GLTA Junior Development Committee Chairman, Nigel Glasgow challenged the little ones to adopt sports of as a means of developing better focus and discipline towards academic excellence.
Arnold Sukraj, Pegasus Facility Coordinator also expressed his delight in once again seeing the court filled with very young aspiring players.
The camp which will run for a two week period until July 22nd saw only 27 participants on the first day but many more children registered and are expected to show up as the week progresses. Yesterday that total climbed to 52.
