Defending champions Guyana remained on course to retain the overall title after both the Boys and Girls teams continued their fine run at this year’s Digicel Caribbean Area Squash Association Junior Championships which continued yesterday, at the Georgetown Club and the National Racquet Centre.
The Guyanese easily disposed of the Bahamas in the Boys category 5-0, while the Girls produced a similar result in their clash against the Cayman Islands.
In other results:
Jamaica Girls beat the OECS 5-0, while the Boys defeated Barbados 4-1. Trinidad and Tobago Boys then eased past the Cayman Islands 4-1, while T&T squeezed past Barbados 3-2 and Bermuda Boys narrowly defeated the OECS 3-2.
Jamaica Girls beat Barbados 4-1, while their Boys whipped the Cayman Islands 5-0 and Trinidad and Tobago Girls edged the OECS 3-2.
Trinidad and Tobago Boys the took care of Barbados, beating them 4-1, before Guyana Boys squeezed past Bermuda 3-2 and the OECS Boys mauled the Bahamas 5-0.
Barbados Boys then escaped with a close 3-2 triumph over the Cayman Islands, Trinidad and Tobago Boys beat Jamaica 3-2 and Guyana Girls were comfortable winners by a 4-1 margin over Bermuda.
The tournament was expected to resume last evening with more matches at the same venue.
