Entries are expected to be closed today for the Ryan Crawford Memorial Turf club (RCMTC) Tipple Crown Classic horserace meet organized in collaboration with ANSA McAl Trading Limited which is set for Sunday July 17 at the Clubs track, Alness Corentyne, Berbice.
So far a number of the countries top horses have already taken entry in what is expected to be a top class day of horseracing.
Ten events are listed for the day which has a massive injection of $7M dollars, which is the largest purse in the horseracing circle this year so far, has been guaranteed for the top performers on the day which included trophies and other prizes.
Over 70 horses have already entered for the day’s activity with a number of the country’s top racehorses entering so far and with so much on offer a scintillating and action packed day of cricket is anticipated.
Among the top contenders expected to start on race day are Prince Charming, Champtress, On the Rock with Salt, The Message, Miss Republic, Miracle Run, Zelik, Marathon Man, Dubai Dutchess, Celebration Time, Times have Changed. Night Crescendo, Miss Orientate, Better Than Gold, Come dance with me, Baby Flyer, Super Cat, King Maker,
Gullium, Pixie Fire, Savion, Work Force, Sir Balajie, The Gap, Ginger Bread, Peaceful, Silent Night, Monalisa, Stone Corner, Momzele and Wicked Intention among others.
Ansa McAl Guyana Limited is sponsoring the feature B class event with a huge first prize of $1M and trophy of a total injection of close to $2M for the race, which will see the horses galloping over a distance of 1600m.
The 3yrs old race for West Indies Bred horses has $500,000 on offer for the winner over 1600m. The F and lower race with a first prize tag of $500,000 and will see the animals competing over a 1200m distance.
The Two Year old race for West Indies Bred Horse fetches a winning purse of $450,000 over 1100m. The Guyana Bred Three Year old animals will be aiming for the winning purse of $400,000 over 1600m.
Two-year old Bred horses will be competing for the same $400,000 first prize over 950m.
The G and lower even also have a first prize of $400,000. The distance is 1600m.
The H and Lower race is another top of the line event on the day’s programme with $300,000 being the winner’s money over a distance of 1600m.
The ‘I’ class event is another race listed on the day’s programme with a first prize of $180,000, the distance is1400m.
The final event on the days programme is for animals classified JK&L (Division 1, 2, 3) also over 1400m. The winning purse is valued at $150,000.
Other major sponsors so far are GT&T, Senior Council Marcel Crawford, Omai Transportation, General Equipment and T Samlall.
Race time is 13:00hrs. Outstanding individual performers including top jockey, trainer and stable will be presented with accolades compliments of the Trophy Stall Bourda Market and the Ryan Crawford Memorial Turf Club.
