The Berbice Cricket Board (BCB) and the Rose Hall Town Youth & Sports Club (RHTY&SC) on Thursday last made financial contributions to the Guyana Cricket Umpires Council (GCUC) to assist the entity in sending a delegation to the Annual Conference of West Indies Umpires in scheduled for St. Lucia.
BCB President Keith Foster in handing over the contribution stated that both organisations are deeply committed to the development of cricket at all levels. He praised the Umpires Council for the work they have been doing and for the roles they are playing in the development of the game.
Foster expressed hope that the Umpires Conference would be a success and that important decisions would be made in the best interest of West Indies Cricket.
President of the Guyana Cricket Umpires Council, Mr. Dhieranidranauth Somwaru in accepting the donation expressed gratitude to the BCB and RHTY&SC while urging both organisations to continue the remarkable work they have doing in Berbice for the continued upliftment of youths and the sport in Guyana.
