‘Music from the Heart’, the popular Sunday morning radio programme on 98.1 FM hosted by Frederick Rampersaud celebrated its 10th anniversary on Sunday.
As part of the anniversary celebrations CDs comprising Oldies and Soul music from the 1970s were distributed to fans.
Some of the songs featured on the CDs are part of Rampersaud’s musical collection.
According to Rampersaud the success of this programme to be on air for a decade has been due to the response from fans. He noted that the fan base is growing and this is evident in the number of persons who call during programme and text weekly.
‘Music from the Heart’ airs some of the most classical yesteryear and sometimes even present-day fusion interwoven in a creative mix by Rampersaud, to ignite romance and to mend broken hearts.
Rampersaud boasts that the songs which he thoughtfully selects for his fans weekly are from his large collection and Matt’s Record Bar that provides back-up CDs.
And the icing on the cake is that Rampersaud is expecting a child with his fianceé in November.
