Medical staff at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation were kept busy last night taking care of a newborn baby boy who was abandoned on the Merriman Mall.
The unclothed baby was reportedly found around 21:00 hrs by persons passing through the area.
They wrapped the newborn in a jersey and took it to the GPHC’s Accident and Emergency Unit.
The GPHC staffers are appealing to the baby’s parents to come forward. They are also seeking assistance from the public to identify its parents.
