National Cycling Coach Hassan Mohamed MS has organized a 50 Miles Cycle Road Race for today in celebration of Caricom Day.
The race will commence from Wales Police Station at 09:00hrs, proceed to Bushy Park on the East Bank of Essequibo, before returning to Demerara Harbour Bridge for the finish.
The Veteran, Upright and female will turn back at Uitvlugt Community Centre before returning to the Harbour Bridge.
The first (6) Finishers will receive prizes, the first (3) Juniors, (3) Veterans, (3) Upright, (2) Female and the first Veteran O-60 yrs will all receive prizes. (8) Prime Prizes to be won during the course of the race.
The race is sponsored by Dr. Chase, Seven Seas and Nature Valley Products.
Mrs. June Ann Eastman, Distributer Manager, Pharmaceutical Health and Beauty Care and other Staff Members will distribute the prizes to the winning participants.
