A Government official who was involved in recent investigation into the death of two school children on the One Mile, Wismar, Linden road has revealed that plans are on stream to clear the area where the incident occurred.
This publication was told that a team from the Ministry of Public Works, Road Safety Department visited the area to carry out their own investigation.
An investigation found that it was almost impossible for an oncoming vehicle to see the children as the stalls on the corner would prevent drivers from seeing what is coming out the corner from which the children came out.
“Encumbrances have always been an issues in that area and we have been trying to remove the stalls but to no avail,” the official stated.
However further attempts will be made to clear the area.
