CBR-riding Lusignan resident killed in collision
Dead: Christopher Ramsarran
A motorcyclist riding a CBR, on his way up the East Coast Demerara (ECD), collided with a 4×4 Vigo Pickup and lost his life last evening. The dead man was identified as 23-year-old Christopher Ramsarran of Lusignan, ECD.
Reports reveal that approximately 18:30hrs, the father of one was travelling up the East Coast when a pickup swerved out from an access road and into the motorcyclist’s path, causing him to lose control. The rider collided with the vehicle and toppled several times.
It was further disclosed that the man was then rushed to the Woodlands Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival. However, another account of the incident from sources revealed that the motorcyclist was overtaking a vehicle when he ended up in the path of the pickup, and this caused his demise. Police are continuing investigations.
The driver of the pickup and his vehicle were detained at the Beterverwagting Police Station, in addition to the mangled motorcycle.
Grieving relatives told this publication that the man’s parents had not yet received the devastating news, since they are not in the country and are supposed to be returning home shortly.
