– classic clash in the making with old rivals
Mackenzie High School (MHS) and Linden’s Technical Institute (LTI) will renew an old rivalry today when the two schools clash in the Victory Valley Royals Schools’ Basketball Tournament final at the MHS Basketball Court, following the third place game.

The two schools set up the clash Monday afternoon after respective wins in their semis. LTI had defeated Christianburg/Wismar Secondary 58-39 with Marlon Pollydore dropping 14 points and Geoffrey LaRose adding 12 points for LTI in the important win.
T. Welch had 13 points for Christianburg. LaRose and Pollydore will form an important duo for LTI in the final against MHS today, after the school that will have home-court advantage entered the final with a 44-34 win against New Silver-City Secondary.
In that semi, Parish Cadogan scored 10 points and Sheldon Noel added 10 points for MHS.
They will face familiar foes today. S. Christopher had scored nine points for New Silver-City. Today is the deciding day for the ranking of school basketball teams in Linden.
