The Guyana Olympic Association Olympic Day Junior Badminton Tournament was played off at the Queens College Badminton Courts on Saturday last with several young players displayed their abilities led by Narayan Ramdhani.
The Under-15 Tournament attracted players from schools around Georgetown and the Tournament saw Narayan Ramdhani once again emerging the Triple Champion Winner, winning the Boys Singles, Boys Doubles with Noel Shewjattan and Mixed Doubles with his sister Priyanna Ramdhani.
The Results are as follows:
Boys Singles Finals: Narayan Ramdhani defeated Noel Shewjattan: 21-14, 21-11
Third Place went to Ryan Amir who defeated Cecil Abrams: 21-13, 21-18
Girls Singles Finals: Greer Jackson defeated Priyanna Ramdhani: 21-9, 21-3
Third Place went to Angelica Holder who defeated Anneesa Taylor: 21-13, 21-11
Boys Doubles Finals: Narayan Ramdhani & Noel Shewjattan defeated Ryan Amir & Diquan Naughton: 21-7, 21-10
Third Place went to Jonathan Mangra & Ajave Singh who defeated Jamel Ramsook & Cecil Abrams: 21-18, 21-15
Girls Doubles Finals: Greer Jackson & Priyanna Ramdhani defeated Amrita Ramnauth & Ambika Ramraj: 21-14, 21-9
Third Place went to Nadine Jairam & A. Taylor who got a walk over form Angelica Holder & Varsha Boodram
Mixed Doubles Finals: Narayan Ramdhani & Priyanna Ramdhani defeated Noel Shewjattan & Greer Jackson: 21-15, 21-13
Third Place went to Ryan Amir & Angelica Holder who defeated Ajave Singh & Ambika Ramraj: 21-9, 21-3
The Presentation was made by President of the GBA Gokarn Ramdhani on behalf of the Guyana Olympic Association to the 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place winners.
