Plaisance Secondary School thrashed President’s College 76-49 Tuesday evening to lift the East Coast Conference title in the Youth Basketball Guyana (YBG) Challenge.
Nikkoloi Smith, who was adjudged Conference MVP and leading scorer, dropped a double with 31 points and 11 rebounds, while Kelvin Yurrick supported with 25 points.
Devon Warren scored nine points for President’s College while Nyamebekyere Bacchus scored eight points and grabbed eight rebounds for the top tertiary institution.
President of YBG, Chris Bowman said the conference was very successful because games were held in the neighbourhoods of the players and many of them were exposed.
He also stated that the Conference was not as competitive as some of the others as Plaisance and President’s College were clearly the most dominant teams in the zone.
