Jun 22, 2011 Letters
Dear Editor,
In the introduction to his book “Behold A Pale Horse”, Milton William Cooper outlined his Four-pronged creed the last part of which reads as follows:
“Fourthly, I believe that any man without principles that he is ready and willing to die for at any given moment is already dead and is of no use or consequence whatsoever”.
I would not be as strong as Mr. Cooper and condemn an unprincipled person, but I would say that any man, who extends a challenge and fails to accept one in return, may be a coward. I am forced to entertain this thought because of a letter which appeared in the KN of 20-06-2011 under the caption ‘Would Dave Martindale accept my challenge?’ purportedly written by one Mike Persaud of New York.
In that letter I am accused of being a ghost writer and a cohort of Dr. Misir who readily runs to the defense of the government. I must confess that this is most surprising to me for as far as I am aware I still hold tenaciously to the principle of not engaging in public political discourse.
In April 2007, Mr. Vishnu Bisram made a similar unfounded allegation about and in my response to him which was published in the SN of April 13, I indicated that I am a real person and that I was listed in the telephone directory,. And I do not indulge in public political discourse. That is a cardinal principle of mine.
I respectfully wish to similarly advise Mr. Mike Persaud that I am a real person and am not afraid to disclose my identity because I always feel fortified in whatever I say.
While I am prepared to accept Mr. Persaud’s challenge to a public debate, I wish to let him know that he must first identify at least one letter which I have written in support of Dr. Misir and elevate the prize money to some respectable level. Indeed, I do not believe that Mr. Persaud could have mistakenly mentioned my name in his letter because he did so nine times and I can only conclude that if he truly exists, he may be up to some sort of mischief
I respectfully await his clarification.
Francis Carryl.
