Gavin and Alana Dubblin, who were charged with possession of narcotics, were on Friday remanded by Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry.
The married couple allegedly had in their possession on June 15, 228 grams of cannabis for the purpose of trafficking.
The duo who resides at Lot 64 Middle Walk, Buxton both pleaded not guilty to the charge when read.
Police Prosecutor Vishnu Hunte told the court that police ranks were acting on a tip off when they visited the defendants’ home and conducted a search in their presence.
The ranks then discovered the illicit substance on a table and on top of the defendants’ refrigerator.
They were subsequently arrested and charged with the offence.
Gavin and Alana Dubblin are expected to make their next court appearance on June 23 at the Vigilance Magistrate’s Court.
