Play in the inaugural Digicel Nationwide Schools Football Competition continued on Friday with matches in various regions.
Over in Region 2-
Charity Secondary defeated Cotton Field Secondary 1-0 with Amiki Cummings 28th minute strike separating the two teams.
New Opportunity Corp then hammered Abram Zuil 9-0. Tishawn McKenzie fired in four goals which came in the 26th, 27th, 30th and 35th minutes, Terrence Cummings 1st and 20th, Jomal Braithwaite 8th and 21st and Kevin Abbensetts 18th minute effort completed their tally.
In Region #3-
Leonora Secondary beat St. John’s 2-0.
On target for the winners were Jamal Henry 4th and Aubrey Green in the 24th.
In Georgetown-
St. George’s disposed of Tutorial Secondary by a 4-1 margin.
Drean Benjamin netted in the 19th and 61st minutes, while Ozeal Small12th and Steffon Rothsa 24th were the other players on target.
North Ruimveldt Secondary beat Christ Church Secondary 4-2.
Romella Fraser 39th, Devon Harper 49th, Jamal Narine 57th and C. Hyderkhan 55th scored for the victors.
East Bank (Region #4)-
Covent Garden defeated Dora Secondary 6-0.
Trevor Jones booted in a hat-trick in the 10th, 35th and 44th mins, while Omali Henry 1st and 36th and Kevin Blair 20th were the goal-scorers.
Xenon Academy annihilated Supply by a huge 16-1 margin.
Timothy Griffith 5th, 11th, 20th, 64th, 66th, 58th, Thybert Muir 22nd, 25th, 51st, Hubert Lake 50th, 55th, 56th, Star Jones, 8th, 61st, 13th and Isaiah Thomas 27th, all combined to lead their team to victory.
Over in Region 10-
McKenzie High vs. New Silver City
McKenzie won on penalty (4-2)
Christiansburg Wismar Multilateral beat Linden Foundation 2-0.
Quacy Quintin, 4TH and Allan Halley 40th engineered Linden Foundation’s demise.
