A big 18-team Father’s Day Domino Competition organised by the South Turkeyen Sports Committee will be held at the Mahaicony Community Centre and Julian’s Guinness Bar, starting today and ends tomorrow.
According to a release from the Organisers, play is anticipated to start at 13:00hrs, entrance fee is $10,000 per team and is open to all interested teams from Mahaica to No.5 Village West Coast Berbice.
Among the entities and individuals who’ve added their support to the competition are Prime Minister Samuel Hinds, Ramsey Ali of Sterling Products, Digicel’s Gavin Hope, Natheeah King of Western Union Bill Express, Gerry Gouveia of Roraima Airways, Wireless Solutions and Yvonne Langevine.
The Group will also be hosting a 4-lap Upright Cycle Race tomorrow in commemoration of Father’s Day. Cyclists from Plaisance to Hopetown, West Berbice are invited to participate in the race which commences from 10:00 hrs. Starting point is Mahaicony Community Centre and entrance fee is $1,000. At stake are trophies and cash incentives from first to sixth place.
