Man has sex with home alone first form lover

Amdat Persaud, 20, a labourer of Lot 26 King Street, Williamsburg, Corentyne was remanded by Magistrate Fabio Azore when he appeared before her at the Albion Magistrate’s Court on a charge of rape.
Prosecutor, Inspector Satrohan Dayaram, told the court that the victim is a first form student who lives with her single-parent father.
He stated that it was some time during December last year when the girl was at home alone, that she invited Persaud over to her house and they had sexual intercourse.
The prosecutor added that after a while the girl’s father noticed his daughter’s strange behaviour; and she became very disrespectful.
The prosecutor said that the man became suspicious and began to investigate the cause of his daughter’s sudden behavioural change.
The man was shocked when he learnt that his daughter was sexually active, a fact which was confirmed by a medical report.
He then made a report to the Albion Police Station and the defendant was arrested and charged with statutory rape.
He will have to return to court on July 7.
