Bill is on his travels back to Blighty via a Trini conference at UWI on Indo-Caribbeans. He gun talk about Sharma to dem academics.
*First, big up time to Mrs Sharma-Savitri Singh! Words Bill never thought he would write. Bill needed video material for his paper so on the off chance, went into the Chicken Noodle Station. Kind Ursula (another Channel 28 graduate but not one to take the soup run..) asked Mr S. She, surprisingly, agreed. Bill will now discuss CN with the Phds thanks to the foresight of CNS6. Eat your words, Bill.
By the by, is it true that when CN went to UG to link up with Ohio University a couple months back, he announced on his show before ‘Me going to UG to talk to Oh-H-One-O university’. Old dog no new tricks!
*Oh My God! There he was at Timehri. Mr Banks himself Clifford Reis. Bill went to beard him about his awful crab-backs and equally bad service at OMG! (Readers Bill bears good news. Superb backs are on sale at Just Cakes Cummings Street in Alberttown. Rush there before Bill buys and eats them all! Thanks for the tip Mr Shanta). Clifford feigned ignorance of the article (Citizen Kane will send it to him) and promised ‘I will look into it’.
But no sign of that $2000 rebate Bill wanted. Get a Grip, Cliff.Get a grip!
*They were queuing up to talk to Clifford at Timerhi. After me, the other Guy rum baron Komal Samaroo of DDL was deep in conversation.
Bill is a cynic (you may have spotted..) but this was not a cartel in the making was it? Only joking guys. Rum expensive enough already.
*Finally a big thank you to Captain Gerry ’No Toupee’ Guyana or Roraima Airways. National Awardee, now a Bill Awardee. His ‘lagne’ (as you Guyanese say)is a haven of peace in the crazy airport. Coffee cheaper than the Oasis cart and so comfy for a good pre-flight snore if you can avoid the aircrew doing the same.
So now Bill is off back to civilisation as he knows it. Watch out .He could be back!
You will be the first to know.
Pip!Pip! (for now)
