Wanted Bulletin issued for Sophia man
Marcellus Verbeke
As police continue their investigation into the murder of 34-year-old Richard Anthony Skeete, a wanted bulletin has been issued for his alleged attacker.
Yesterday afternoon the police issued the wanted bulletin for Marcellus Verbeke whom they say is wanted for questioning in relation to Skeete’s murder which occurred at ‘C’ Field, Sophia, on Thursday.
Marcellus Verbeke, of Lot 767 ‘C’ Field Sophia, is said to be 19 years old, brown in complexion and thin built.
Anyone with information that may lead to the arrest of Marcellus Verbeke is asked to contact the police on telephone numbers: 229-2557, 225-2227, 229-2700 to 2, 226-6978, 225-6411, 911 or the nearest police station.
On Thursday morning Skeete was pronounced dead on arrival at the Georgetown Public Hospital.
The dead man’s sister, Jacquline Skeete, told this publication that a post mortem report revealed that her brother was stabbed at least 33 times.
The post mortem was done yesterday by Government Pathologist Dr. Nehaul Singh at the Georgetown Public Hospital mortuary.
