The Essequibo jurisdiction, Pomeroon\ Supernaam, now has two female magistrates, Madame Faith Mc Gusty and Leron Daly.
Magistrate Faith McGusty, who returned to the Essequibo Coast, last week, to continue and complete her part-heard matters, was on maternity leave for the last three months.
Kaieteur News understands that, Daly, who resumed duties, in mid-February, was assigned to the Region, where she spent her childhood years.
Daly will attend to all of the new matters before her, while her colleague, Mc Gusty, would continue all the previous matters.
Magistrate Leron Daly is the first magistrate Essequibo has produced.
