The Private Sector Commission (PSC), a grouping of several businesses, has re-elected Ramesh Dookhoo at its Chairman and has returned its Executive Management Committee. Dookhoo is the Business Development Executive at Banks DIH Limited.
The PSC in a release yesterday also stated that Yog Mahadeo, Chief Executive Officer of Guyana Telephone and Telegraph Company, has been returned as its Vice Chairman; Andrew Astwood, Chairman of the Shipping Association of Guyana, as the Honorary Secretary and Chandradat Chintamani, Managing Director of Demerara Tobacco Company, as Treasurer.
“The Executive Team for 2011 has not changed and it is a sign of confidence displayed by the membership of the PSC.
It also shows that they are satisfied with the work of the executives for the last year,” the body said.
The executives, in expressing their appreciation for the confidence placed in them, promised to work assiduously during their renewed tenure to address private sector and related issues to foster national growth. The PSC 19th Annual General Meeting was held on June 2 at the Savannah Suite of the Pegasus Hotel.
