Players from the various houses take time out for a photo at the Marian Academy Badminton tournament.
The Marian Academy Primary School Inter-House Round Robin Badminton Tournament concluded on Tuesday May 30 at the School’s Badminton Courts, while the Secondary School Inter-House Round-Robin Tournament was played off.
The Overall points for the four houses after the final results are:
1st Fatima-15 points, 2nd Coromoto-6 points, 3rd Lourdes- 2 points, 4th Guadalupe-1 point
In the Primary School Inter-House competition: Coromoto defeated Guadalupe 4-0
Boys Singles: Joshua Singh defeated Keon Ramjit: 21-10
Girls Singles: Leah Lachmansingh defeated Angelie Balram: 21-5
Girls Doubles: Leah & Adriel Lachmansingh defeated Angelie Balram & Kristen Allyne: 21-12
Mixed Doubles: Joshua Singh & Adriel Lachmansingh defeated Jahleel Young & Kristen Allyne: 21-9
Meanwhile, in results from the Secondary School Inter-House: Fatima defeated Lourdes: 4-0
Boys Singles: Jonathan Hohenkirk defeated Joseph Leo: 21-14
Girls Singles: Emma Vieira defeated Tisel Patterson: 21-17
Boys Doubles: Narayan Ramdhani & Jonathan Hohenkirk defeated Avinash Odit & Joseph Leo: 21-16
Mixed Doubles: Narayan Ramdhani & Emma Vieira defeated Avinash Odit & Tisel Patterson: 21-15
Secondary School Inter-House: Lourdes defeated Guadalupe: 2-0
Boys Singles: Joseph Leo defeated Jonathan Mangra: 21-18
Girls Singles: Angelica DaSilva defeated Leah Farinha: 21-18
