The owners of motor-car, PHH 3202, are denying that their vehicle was involved in a robbery which took place on Friday evening, at Waller’s Delight, West Coast Demerara.
A jewellery dealer was robbed of over $8M by two men outside her home.
Reports are that the car the bandits used to make good their escape was a white Lancer, bearing license plate, PHH 3202.
However; the owners of motor-car PHH 3202 explained to Kaieteur News that their car which is Delta green (a dark shade) in colour was in no way involved in the matter.
Leroy and Alexis Munroe, owners of the car, stated that they have owned their vehicle since 2001 and produced the relevant documents which proved this.
They also added that their car has never been spray-painted in white or anything close to that colour.
They are hoping that the culprits are apprehended but want to clear the air that their vehicle is in no way related to this matter.
