When Burnham tell de world that he gun serve de people he keep he promise. Some get pregnant and some run.
Years later dem boys live to see another President who serve de people. This one is Bar-Rat. He deliver he farewell address de other night when Guyana celebrate de independence anniversary.
People suspect that he did serving dem. Like how de boar was serving dem sow—wid slow wine and a smile pun he face. Dem boys seh that he friends get service. That was service of another kind.
Bar-Rat friends get de best of all de worlds. He didn’t serve dem. That is why dem boys get upset when dem hear he tell de nation that serving de people was de greatest honour of he life. He serve more men and women than anybody else in Guyana. Some enjoy it and some cry.
He leaving office wid a smile pun he face and when he leave more people gun smile. Some gun holler, “Thank God”. He and Burnham was identical. Serve and screw was de same thing in dem book.
