The Mark ‘Jumbie’ Wiltshire and Lorraine 18-team Independence Domino Competition which is set to be staged today, at the Girls Guide Pavilion on Brickdam.
The competition carries a first prize of $100,000 and a trophy; 2nd $40,000 and 3rd $30,000 will see teams participate in both the male and female segments with two feature matches.
The feature matches will be between Georgetown, East Coast and West Side and all three have named their respective teams for the contest.
Georgetown male will come from Jermaine Jackson, Rondell Charles, Mark Wiltshire, Shawn Morgan, Orin Joseph, Michael Persaud and Colin Hicken.
The West Side will be chosen from Godfrey Samuels, Ronny Grovesnor, David Andrews, Prem Persaud, Ramesh Persaud, Terry Boyce and Andre Foo, while the east Coast line-up includes Mark Welch, Rayon Glasgow, Neville Bacchus, Leroy Ridley, Rudian Thomas and Oloufemi Paul.
On the distaff side, East Coast (Night Riders) team is made up of Tricia Harper, Abiola and Lorna Mayers, Andrea Lewis, Rona Rahaman and Maynell Parker.
The West Side team includes Jane Chase, Charlene Barnwell, Shellon Hubbard, Sheron Jerome, Milli Hubbard and Bronwen Williams, while Georgetown’s One Love unit will come from Yonette Christmas, Emily Dodson, Bridget Madhu, Neiberth Hale, Valerie Fortune and Rita Scarder.
Entrance fee per team is $10,000, while Bar-b-Cue will be on sale.
