The former dryer operator served Caricom Rice Mills for the past 20-years.
On Sunday, May 15, around 17:00 hours, Ram was hurt in an accident at Caricom Rice Mills while he was cleaning the Twin and S Dryer.

“I push up my right hand and all of a sudden the machine began to roll.”

A day after the incident, Caricom Rice Mills issued a statement that the company was conducting its own investigations and has vowed to do all in its power to ensure that the injured employee receives maximum compensation from its insurers.
The outstanding employee according to the Company, was employed since the establishment of the company in 1990, but assumed the post of dryer operator in 2003.
