Emanie Netball Club will be celebrating its 14th anniversary on Tuesday, May 24 and to this end the club has planned a list of activities which will commence with the attendance of a church service at the Light of Light New Testament Church in Norton Street where the children will be in for a special treat.
The service starts at 08:00 hrs. Then on May 26, the elderly persons of the Chase’s Indigent Home will be taken to 63 Beach, giving them the opportunity to cross the Berbice Bridge.
Launched on May 24, 1997 at the Georgetown Club, the club has the distinction of never being beaten on the local front and remains the only club to have ever scored over 100 goals in a game with Angeline Dyer netting 100.
During the period, members of the club over the years have been privileged to be exposed to opportunities of self development, while there are a few who’re still present from the inception and they are Angeline Dyer, Shanomae Pearce and Ohnoica Brammah.
