Football players’ nationwide gearing up for exhilarating c/ship
Cricket, players, lovers and fans would agree that the GT&T initiative of a Ten10 softball cricket competition has taken Guyana by storm where an unprecedented number of teams numbering over One Thousand participated.
Ten10 is now a household name and is here to stay. Well GT&T, not satisfied with stopping at Ten10; and with a yearning to keep setting the pace will this evening launch another new initiative – this time around, the nation’s footballers – male and female – will get the opportunity to showcase their skills and abilities in games that are expected to be fast paced. More than that, many more players would get the opportunity to be seen.Over Two Million Dollars will be up for grabs with the grand finals set for the Guyana National Stadium, Providence.
The Princess Hotel, Providence, East Bank Demerara is the venue for what is anticipated to be a gala unveiling of FastBall – Football at a Different level – where the Honorable Minister of Culture Youth and Sport Dr. Frank Anthony, GT&T CEO Yog Mahadeo and GFF President Colin Klass will be present.
The tournament rules and date for the official kick off and venues will be known at this evening’s launch.
