A desperate Venezuelan woman is craving the assistance of the Guyanese public for the immediate reunification with her Guyanese husband, Jerome Parks, aka ‘Delly.’ According to information filtered to Kaieteur News, via a telephone call, Parks, 26, is said to be living in Guyana with another woman, although he continues to be married to his Venezuelan partner.
The distraught mother of three said that she is currently pregnant with her third child for Parks, whom she said she learnt has already started a new family with a teenager, from the Pomeroon.
Parks, who migrated to Venezuela in 2001, was 17-years-old when he met and got married to his Venezuelan wife.
Relating her story with the assistance of an interpreter, Margarita Da Silva Parks, said that her husband who is originally from Grant Covent Garden, Lower Pomeroon River, after his marriage to her, visited Guyana frequently ostensibly in pursuit of job transactions for both the Da Silva and Parks families. This meant that he had to travel frequently from Venezuela to Guyana, spending two weeks in each month in the respective countries.
Margarita stated that as Delly’s visits became more and more frequent to neighbouring Guyana, his stay also became longer. This placed a lengthy distance between his young children and wife.
“Late last year his stay in Guyana started to be three weeks and more. He explained that business was bad back home and it takes longer than we both expected.”
Da Silva added that as the absence of her husband increased, she became suspicious. She said that she immediately mounted an investigation into her husband’s whereabouts. She said that she hired a private investigator. The Spanish woman noted that upon the private investigator’s research, she was told that her husband was seen in the company of a teenager.
Margarita said that soon after she received information about her husband having linkage with a teenager from Charity, who is also pregnant. Da Silvia said that she confronted the teen’s mother, and in March, her husband returned to Venezuela.
Da Silva said that her husband has since returned to Guyana and she has not been hearing from him. Margarita is pleading with her husband and the teen’s relatives to caution Delly about the implication involved.
“I love my husband, Delly Parks, and will always be his wife because he has three kids and they will keep us together.” According to added information, Parks was charged in Guyana for murder in 2009.
