In an article headlined ‘Judge rules Bissoon Singh’s DCB was illegally registered’ written by journalist Sean Devers, several discrepancies were pointed out by a legal source and Kaieteur Sports would like to offer our apologies for any inaccuracy that may have been in the story.
It must be noted that the Ministry of Labour and Human Services under the Friendly Societies Act has been checking the financial statement of the GCB prior to the holding of their AGM. This process is not fully complete.
The Bissoon Singh and Raj Singh factions have been in court over several matters in relation to the fragmented state of the Demerara Cricket Board with both sides not being permitted by the courts to function as the sole authority administering cricket in the county. Our article would have suggested that the Raj Singh faction had the right to run the DCB.
Legal matters are still pending to determine the legitimate executive of the DCB. Again we offer our apologies.
