As part of the observance of the Anna Regina Multilateral Secondary school’s 50th anniversary, the learning institution staged a pageant, Friday night.
Zameena Rasheed, an aspiring engineer, was crowned the new Anna Regina Multilateral School’s queen.
The second place went to Donella Benn, while Chandanie Dyal walked away with the third place finish.
Last year’s queen, Durga Devi crowned the new queen.
Rasheed found favour with the crowd after explicitly answering her final question, ‘What is your goal and how would you go about accomplishing it?
Rasheed responded, “I would like to become an engineer in the near future, I admire fascinating buildings. To achieve this goal I will try my best to pass all of my subjects with flying colours and as soon as I am finished, I will attend University of Guyana.
Anna Regina Multilateral Secondary School which continues to produce numerous professionals opened its service to Essequibians on May 8, 1961.
For the golden jubilee several other activities including an impromptu speech competition, tree planting exercise and a fun day at Mainstay are scheduled.
