Injured photographer transferred to GPH

Injured photographer Kempton Mc Bean, called “Jason”, 24, of 63 King Street, Cumberland, East Canje, and of Tucber Park, New Amsterdam, who was seriously injured in a motorcycle and car accident on Thursday, has been transferred to the Georgetown Public Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
According to reports, Mc Bean was seriously injured around 19:15 hrs when his motorcycle CF8372 which had been purchased less than two weeks ago collided with a white Toyota Allion  PMM 8653, driven by Keith Grimmond at the junction of Main and Harkman’s Lane, New Amsterdam.
It was understood that Mc Bean suffered a fractured right leg when he was proceeding along Main road heading towards Stanleytown when in the vicinity of Harkman’s lane the car driven by Grimmond drove out of the cross street and into the path of the motorcyclist causing the collision.
Mc Bean was hurled in the air and he landed over the car. He was picked up in an unconscious condition bleeding through his mouth and nose and rushed to the New Amsterdam hospital when he was initially admitted before being transferred to the Georgetown Public Hospital.
The driver was taken into custody while the car was impounded. The driver was subsequently released on station bail as investigation continues.
