Dear Editor,
The letter by Dominic Gaskin is the usual nonsense which the AFC letter writers, and there’s a batch of them, are trying to peddle to the citizens of Guyana; they might complain that I write many letters, but every day, one of them is peddling AFC nonsense in the letter sections of Kaieteur News and SN.
Gaskin can claim that the leaders of the AFC are enlightened politicians, but the facts remain the same, and those are, that they were all communist influenced and sitting in the parties they now denounce, for many years. Now we must believe that they are changed leaders, but where’s the proof? No where to be found, missing in action and buried at sea.
Mr. Editor, Gaskin wants to leave out the AFC (along with GAP/ROAR) betrayal of a joint opposition in the 2006 elections and a good bedrock foundation in 2006 for future opposition unity; now, Gaskin asserts that the AFC will go out and do the work to win this next election and puts down myself and Unity Party (UP), basically saying we’re a waste of time.
Well, we’ll see, because we’re going out too and we will certainly tell the voters never to vote for the AFC, and, Gaskin should read my lips, we’ll be successful. Bet anyone, when we’re finished with the AFC, Sasenarine Singh and T. Khemraj, Gaskin and the former communist/Stalinist trio will count many less votes that they got in 2006, and who knows, Singh and Khemraj might end up writing for the Chronicle, their old home where the old buffalos roam.
