The Georgetown Football Club (GFC) Ground will continue to be a hive of activity when a team of past football stars residing in the USA compete for honours against a strong Georgetown Football Club team, this evening.
Led by manager of the squad, Jackie Maxwell, the overseas based team has already engaged the Rasta Patriarchs and notched up a 3-1 win.
They then traveled to Linden and played a combined team from that region in a match that ended in a 0-0 stalemate.
The players will travel to Berbice over the weekend for a match against a team in that region.
Among some of the names representing the NY based squad are former national player and Western Tigers midfielder Christopher Giles, striker Junior Walker and custodian, Nigel Robinson. Tonight’s activities get underway at 18:30hrs.
